- Photovoltaic systems including links to electrolysis.
- Research which ranges from ‘blue skies’ fundamentals through to development in collaboration with industry.
- Modelling of hydrogen energy systems.
- Spatio-temporal modelling and analysis of energy systems.
- Socio-technical systems for a net zero transition.
- Economics of net zero transition.
- Energy justice and ethics for net zero.
How you study
Postgraduate research programmes involve independent study and research. You will benefit from personal academic development throughout the process with support from supervisors wider research activities. There are no examinations on this programme, the final outcome will be a research thesis.
Supervision
Students will meet regularly with supervisors and will be provided with guidance around the nature of research, the standards expected and support in developing into a competent researcher.
Wider Research Activities
Students are encouraged to attend research seminars from faculty and visiting academics and engage in a wide range of research and skills training opportunities (e.g. offered by the library) to support their studies. There is also an Early Career Researcher Network that provides a supportive community and forum for sharing research.
