Background
Dr Desmond Bisandu (he/him) holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (Data Science) from Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é, alongside an MSc and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Jos and the American University of Nigeria, respectively. He previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence and Scientific Computing at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é immediately after completing his PhD, where he was actively involved in both teaching and research, conducting advanced work at the intersection of AI and data-driven modelling to address complex digital aviation and aerospace challenges using advanced computational methods.
He is currently an Assistant Professor in Digital Technologies and DTS Apprentices Open Cohorts Lead. His work bridges the gap between theoretical research, applied teaching, and real-world practice, focusing on leveraging advanced computational and digital technologies to address socio-economic and industry-driven challenges.
