Background
Dr Conor Walthall recently completed his PhD in environmental and agricultural science under the guidance of Dr Alice Johnston, Dr Zoltan Kevei and Dr Nick Girkin. His key research interests are soil below ground processes and how they affect crop growth and greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, as well as optimal growth techniques in niche crops. Conor also has an interest in soil microbiomes as well as an interest in greenhouse gas emission production from agricultural practices.
Prior to beginning his PhD at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é, he completed his undergraduate degree in biological sciences at Warwick University. He also completed his master's degree at Warwick University, focusing on the environmental sustainability of elite level football clubs in England. He now works as a researcher for the ExtraCare Charitable Trust, where his research looks to improve the lives of older adults in assisted living villages in the United Kingdom.
